Perizzolo Named SCIAC Athlete Of The Week

Annie Perizzolo (FR, Aurora, CO) was selected SCIAC Athlete of the Week for the week of February 18-24.  She was named SCIAC Athlete of the Year at the conclusion of the SCIAC Swimming & Diving Championships after leading the Athenas to their sixth straight title. She won the 100 and 200 breaststrokes and swam the breaststroke leg on the winning 200 and 400 medley relays. She set the SCIAC record in the 200 breast and the SCIAC meet record in the 100 breast. Her times in both events were NCAA “A” qualifying marks, the only A marks achieved at the meet. Both of the medley relays also set SCIAC records. She also swam a lifetime best while finishing sixth in the 200 individual medley. She scored 73 of the team’s 938 points.
