Chris Gage is currently a Freshman at Harvey Mudd College, and formerly threw for Capital High School in Olympia, Washington. In high school, his 12 lbs. shot put PR was 48' 4.5", his 12 lbs. hammer PR was 168' 9" while his 16 lbs. hammer PR was 137' 4". The best track meet of his career was at the league championships his Senior year of high school where he went in seeded 8th with a PR of 44' 9" and came out in 3rd with a final throw of 48' 4.5".  He also placed 4th at the Washington State Hammer Championships both his Junior and Senior year. During high school he also competed in crew in the off-season.
