Sarah Queener took over the reigns of the women's lacrosse
program after a successful collegiate career at Yale University and
made an immediate impact. In her first season, the team had its
best record and qualified for the NCAA Championships for the first
time and in her second season the team won their first NCAA playoff
game. She was a four-year starter for the Bulldogs and was an
important contributor during their 2003 Ivy League title as well as
their NCAA tournament appearance. During her years at Yale, Queener
scored 76 goals and recorded 66 assists, was a two-time All-Ivy
pick, IWLCA All-American, and a North-South Senior All-Star.
Queener has grown up with lacrosse all her life. Both parents are
high school lacrosse coaches. Her brother, Brice, also coaches on
the collegiate level and plays professional lacrosse. Her other
brother, Brett, and her sister, Sylvia both play collegiately.
